OVERVIEW

NBA LIVE 15 was my rookie year on the development team as an Assistant UI Artist. During the cycle there were only 3 members of the UI team; the Senior UI Artist, an Ultimate Team graphic designer, and myself. With such a small team, we put most of our effort into re-visualizing the title, and preparing a foundation for the upcoming year’s improvements to our User’s experiences. The Senior UI Artist and I set forth to update all of our screens with an all-new style guide. As a new member to the team, I was responsible for primarily creating wireframe designs and mocks for sub-features, small features, global components, and the creation of countless art assets.

Below is just a small sample of the mocks and assets I created for NBA LIVE 15.

    • Contributed to the art development of key features and sub-features, including Create a Player, Player Progression, Team Select, Gameplay UI, and End Game Flows.

    • Designed and iterated on low and high-fidelity XD prototypes, collaborating with designers, directors, and user experience researchers to define the final user experience.

    • Created motion mocks to provide clear guidance to Technical Artists and Software Engineers on screen navigation and animation, ensuring a seamless user experience.

    • Organized and led meetings with leadership, designers, and cross-functional teams throughout the year to ensure a cohesive and efficient development process.

    • Maintained consistency in visual elements and user experience by closely following the Senior Artist’s guidelines across the title.
