NBA LIVE 20 (UNRELEASED)

While NBA LIVE 20 was ultimately cancelled, we did work on the game. Unfortunately, I cannot share any of our work, but I can discuss the roles and responsibilities I worked towards during the development cycle.

  • I created the preliminary design for the Store through visuals in pre-production. The design was largely unchanged after I was paired with a designer.

  • I became the primary point of contact for the Store feature including design decisions, UX architecture, wireframes, mocks, motion mocks, and assisting QA with dev-test plans.

  • Worked closely with our Spain studio during the engineering, skinning, and rendering of the new store design.

  • Created the UI/UX Architectural flows for several areas in the game.

  • Ensured the UI/UX Director’s guidelines with all designers so our final visuals and experiences were consistent with the rest of our title. Only departing from those guidelines when necessary, as supported by our director.

  • I was the primary UX designer for an all-new online feature. Responsible for creating all wireframes, functional prototypes, and assisted in creating the mocks.

  • I was the primary UX and UI designer for an All-New online Head-to-Head feature, creating wireframes, functional prototypes, motion mocks, mocks, setting visual targets, and assisting with audio targets and mocks.

  • Created in-game broadcast animations for use in the All-New online Head-to-Head feature. Worked closely with our Rendering and UI teams to get have these animations in game.

  • Worked on mocks for several features and sub-features including Create a Player, Player Progression, Team Select, Court Battles, Front End Cameras, Gameplay, End Game Flows and more.

  • Worked on multiple prototypes with other designers and UXR to create a primary layout that could be use in multiple areas.

  • Created motion mocks to help guide our Technical Artists and Software Engineers on how certain screens should navigate and animate as our players interact with them.

  • Sole designer for the Companion App, working with multiple engineers to significantly improve existing features, and the addition of several new features.

  • Continued my responsibility of creating all in-menu cameras, character positioning as well as taking care of relevant bug fixes for the entire game.

  • Worked with our 3D environment teams to help ideate and identify unique areas in game and where cameras would be positioned.

  • Worked with our animation team to identify and create 30+ idle animations for use throughout our menus.

  • Concepted, designed, prototypes, managed and produced a new fashion-based development tool.

  • Networked with other EA Sports title teams to discuss updates to shared features, and new features between multiple IPs.

  • I even had the opportunity to present the feature to other studio heads to discuss the future of the tool and what it could capable of.

  • Conducted countless meetings aligning with leadership, stakeholders, designers, and networking with other teams to keep visibility and information flowing.

  • I assisted in creating art tests and conducting interviews for acquiring new members for the UI/UX and Live Services teams.

  • Prepared for the arrival of, and trained multiple new hires for Live Services.
